You can pick up the phone and check your balance whenever you want 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our telephone account access offers a fast-track automated service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can check your balance and load your Acorn Account Prepaid Debit MasterCard® Card. If you need help you can speak to a customer account manager during our call centre opening times.

You can use our automated banking to:

  • Check your balance
  • Load your Acorn Account Debit MasterCard card(s)
  • Activate your new Acorn Account Debit MasterCard card(s)
  • Speak to a customer account manager to set up direct debits and standing orders or discuss your account in detail (during our call centre opening times)
  • Retrieve your PIN

Check your balance and load funds to your card

All you need is your 16 digit card number from the front of your Acorn Account Debit MasterCard card.

Call 0871 811 1884, (Calls cost 11p per minute, plus your phone company's access charge.), select the option to check your balance and load funds to your card, enter your 16 digit card number, enter the required security answers using your keypad and your account and card balance will be read out to you over the phone.

You can also load funds from your billing account to your card using your telephone keypad.

Activate your new Acorn Account Debit MasterCard card

If you have recently received your new Acorn Account Debit MasterCard card in the post, you'll need to activate it before you can start using it. Call 0871 811 1884 (calls cost 11p per minute, plus your phone company's access charge) or use our simple to use automated service. All you need to do is enter the 16 digit card number from the front of your Acorn Account Debit MasterCard card, enter the required security answers through your keypad and your card will be activated. This will save you time as you won't have to speak to a customer service representative.

If you wish to view, amend or set up a standing order or manage your direct debits or view detailed statements and transaction reports, you can log in to online account access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
